Own the fight
against racism
in football.
A concept from Say Something to Liverpool FC
My name is Roy Arne Hansen. I am the founder of Say Something, a Norwegian non-profit that uses neuroscience and behavioural science to fight racism, discrimination, and bullying — not through slogans, but through science-based tools and rituals that create lasting change.
I should say upfront that I have been a Liverpool fan for many years — first drawn in by Keegan, but what kept me was something deeper: the community values the club stands for. That culture is rare in football, and I believe it gives Liverpool a responsibility — and an opportunity — that no other club has.
I am reaching out because I believe Liverpool FC is uniquely positioned to own the fight against racism in football — at every level of the game. You already have the anthem, the platform, and the community to make it happen. We have the science and the concept.
I would love the opportunity for a short conversation to share an idea I think could be genuinely historic for the club — and for the sport.
Would you be open to a short call at your convenience?
With respect and optimism,
Roy Arne Hansen
